Star
Wars Audio Books
Why read a book when you can listen to one?
Audio adaptations of Star Wars stories have
existed since Brian Daley's radio dramatisation of
Star Wars was first broadcast on US
National Public Radio in 1981. Since then many
major stories, particularly novels, have been
adapted for audio either as a dramatisation that
continues in the same vein as Daley's work story
such as Dark
Empire and Dark
Lords of the Sith; or as an audio recording of
an abridged reading of a novel (sometimes with
added sound effects and background music).

Star
Wars e-Comics (Dark Horse Digital)
In May 2009 Dark Horse Comics, official
publisher of Star Wars comics since 1991, launched
Dark Horse Mobile (licensed to THQ), the
name for their e-Comics App for the Apple iPhone
and iPod Touch. The Apps were digital
representations of graphic novels and over the
next 2 years a total of just eleven Star Wars
comic stories were made available as Apps.
In 2011 THQ's license expired and Dark Horse
Comics launched their own in-house digital comics
store Dark Horse Digital. Unlike THQ's Apps, Dark
Horse Digital allows customers to purchase
individual comic book issues in a digital format
and is compatible with modern web browsers, Apple
iOS systems and Android systems.
